B-Ezzy & Mistah F.A.B.- Million Bucks

DJ Booth Shows Love!!

Sadly, not every up and coming rapper knows how to respect their elders like St. Louis native B-Ezzy. On his DJBooth premiere feature, Million Bucks, Ezzy builds a song around a sample from Slick Rick and Doug E. Fresh’s super-classic track La Di Da Di. Million Bucks, produced by Best Kept Secret, features a hard percussion sound that seamlessly mixes in with the background sample, but Ezzy’s flow is the real story here as he successfully pays homage to Rick’s style and delivery with a flow that sounds vaguely like a cross between Lil Wayne and Andre 3000. Ezzy’s second verse is the best part of the track, as he spits some clever lines like, “About to give him Patriotic wounds like Brady,” but guest artist and Bay Area staple Mistah Fab more than holds his own on his quality verse. To put it mildly, this new Midwest emcee has a great deal of potential. Million Bucks is set to appear on the upcoming Ezzy Like Sunday Morning, which drops March 1, 2010.

Raptalk, So Prup Radio and Others Show Love!!

B-Ezzy decided to walk away from the dream of a professional basketball career when he moved to St. Louis and decided to focus his attention on Hip-Hop while he attends Morgan State University as an engineer major. Clearly walking around with a good head on his shoulders, B-Ezzy recognizes the importance of education as he is now in his third year of University.

While offering hip-hop his free time, B-Ezzy is constantly writing rhymes and recording music; a work ethic and talent that was recognized by DJ staple DJ Smallz, known as one of the largest mixtape DJ's in the south. With one DJ Smallz hosted mixtape already under his belt (which featured a guest appearance from Project Pat), B-Ezzy is readying the release of his major debut single, "Party Tonight", alongside his new mixtape, which is set to feature Mistah FAB.

Dubcnn Shows Love!!

Normally a laid-back and humble cat with a name that fits him to a “T”, B-Ezzy is quite the contrary when it comes to hustling in the name of his music. Conjuring up a Twitter conversation with Mistah F.A.B. that led to the kind of collaboration most aspiring artists only dream of (“Million Bucks” featuring Mistah F.A.B.), B-Ezzy is none too shy about reaching out to the Hip-Hop Honoraries, any way he can.

But it only takes a couple seconds for one to justify the confidence he holds in his music, as his talent is undeniable. Only rapping for a year to the day, B-Ezzy has surprisingly found himself already in the middle of some pretty hot collaborations and working alongside a gang of big names. “I rapped a little growing up but I was always a Basketball player, so I didn't take it serious. I just started actually putting words on pen and pad and doing this rap thing seriously since December,” he explains.

B-Ezzy goes on to explain in this Dubcnn Exclusive Interview how his online social networking skills have also landed him in the hands of DJ Smallz, DJ Ill Will, DJ Rockstar, The Empire, The Aphiliates and Project Pat, making you wonder just what kind of serious skills he must be packing to catch the attention of such heavy-hitters with just the click of a mouse…
